Hello Friends!

This week has been quite eventful and super anxiety-inducing. But! It has been a thrilling glimpse into

my next few months.

At my school, there are two different drama departments. One is a typical high school organization, with

one musical a year and solely after school production. The other is a class called Advanced Drama,

which has at least one fall play and one spring musical, with the chance for a winter show and other additional showcases. 

I happen to be apart of Advanced Drama! I’ve been with the department for two years now, and this year

is my second with the Advanced class. 

This week we had auditions for our fall play, and I was incredibly anxious. The auditions took two days

(I had mine on the first) and the cast list came out within the class period of auditions ending. 

I got the role I auditioned for, Ellie the Snow Queen! The show is called “Game Of Tiaras,”

and is a crossover between Game of Thrones and Disney princesses.

I’m so incredibly excited to play a pretty pretty princess, especially one that’s super icy and has a cool

costume change (plus a swordfight)! In addition to playing a cool role, I’m getting the directorial

education I’ve craved since the NSLC trip! My director is giving me the opportunity to shadow him, in

order to learn more about a director’s worries and responsibilities. He started off the series of lessons

with casting, pulling me in to help cast supporting roles for the show!

The rehearsal schedule hasn’t come out yet, so I’m not sure when the ball will keep rolling, but I’ve been

told that it will be very soon! I’m incredibly excited to start this whole thing off, especially when it comes

to learning about the directorial duties.(duties lol)

I promise to keep you updated a production rolls along, but for now we wait for a schedule!

I’m so incredibly happy and incredibly proud of myself for keeping the promises I made in New York. I’m deciding what I want and going after it best I can and I’m cute clothes too! This role is super exciting and I can’t wait to share Ellie with all of you!
