Hey y’all! I’m back!
This past week was wild, and a lot of stuff crumbled and rebuilt around me. Friend troubles, theatre struggles, and the usual anxiety surrounding my world all slowed my pace a bit. I skipped a post to catch up with everything that was going on, got my grades up and stabilized a bit, and here we are!
There have been lots of ups and downs lately, but a huge upward turn has come in the form of some real exciting news! Administration approved our fall play, “Game Of Tiaras”!
I’m beyond excited to start production (which could be as soon as next week! Performances begin in November) and get back in the swing of things with my cast mates.
While we’ve been waiting, we’ve had lots of little projects thrown our way to keep us busy! Recently, we were given the task of reshooting something core to the first quarter of advanced drama, Laban’s 8 Effort Actions.
We felt the need to update it because we were distracted by how dated the video was and completely bored with waiting for the yes from admin.
Another project handed to us last Friday was a reshoot for “Everyman”, a script our director has his students in his Theatre and Film History class analyze.
For both projects, I’ve been behind the camera discovering a new love. I’m getting really into behind the scenes stuff recently and starting to explore a new realm of theatre and film. (Though I’m mainly sticking with performance. You can’t keep an actress from her stage.)
On top of all of these new exciting projects and productions starting up for Advanced Drama, improv club is beginning again and I couldn’t be more excited!
I’m a co-hostess (of 3 total) for our team, meaning I pick the games and create the scenarios for the players. I had to quit the end of last year so that I could prepare and go to the beautiful NSLC program, and I am so glad that my director has allowed me back!

This year is a little different, considering I’m the hostess with the most years on my belt. I’ll have a little more of a teaching and directing role, which excites me just as much as it scares me.
But! Auditions are this Thursday and Friday after school and I’ve got a great team to help build!
Beside that, I’ve got the homecoming game and homecoming itself to look forward to this weekend! I’m beyond ready for the busyness of rehearsals, school, and improv practice to hit and I’m super excited to have a filled schedule again.
I’ll keep you guys updated as the week goes on and I’ll write you again on Sunday!
Until Then!
